Homeschool Monday: Plants and Things

What make our Earth such a special place? It's all the plants and things that live on our wonderful planet. Join us for February's Homeschool Monday to learn more about what makes Earth a great place to live.

Activities are geared for homeschoolers ages 12 and under, but of course everyone is welcome! Homeschool Monday activities will be held on the fourth Monday of every month September through November and January through March from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

Present your registration receipt to the admissions counter for $9 Homeschool Monday admission. All payments are due upon arrival. By attending this event you consent to INFINITY Science Center's photography policy.

During this Homeschool Monday session, students can participate in a Plant Cell Lab at which time they will observe plant cells using a light microscope. This lab will teach basic microscope use and principles as well as how to make a slide to view under microscope. Students will learn about the differences between plant and animal cells  as well as the importance of the chloroplast in plant cells. The class fee is $3 per student and DOES NOT included the $9 admission fee. Admission fee is due upon arrival. This class is for students ages 12 and up.
