AstroCamp Stars SeaPerch Program Summer Camp (NASA 2020 ASTRO CAMP ® STARS Space to Ocean – Technology for Grades 7-11)
NASA’s ASTRO CAMP® Space to Ocean –Technology identifies unique relationships between NASA Science Mission Directorate current robotic missions and Naval Research Science & Technology underwater robotics missions. Students use the engineering design process to complete challenges for the Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pipeline 2020 ROADS on Mars summer challenge featuring a drone and EV3 rover and the Office of Naval Research Science & Technology sponsored SeaPerch in the Wild –Citizen Science featuring an underwater remotely operated vehicle, (ROV) projects.
Students work in teams selecting roles and responsibilities to complete the challenge/project by using the ASTRO CAMP methodology approach to team building collaborations to implement the design challenge, construct robotic rovers, and drones to test and complete challenges for submission at the end of the camp week.
STARS ASTRO CAMPERS will be completing their assigned challenges to collect aquatic robotic sea life & debris demonstrate ROV maneuverability for friends and families , creating video on- line presentations for submission to the Roads on Mars Summer NESSP Challenge for ASTRO CAMP 2020, and showcasing their final challenge to launch their 3-D printed solid rocket reaching over 900 feet in altitude.
Please fill out the registration form. After review of application we will issue an invoice for payment via email. We will contact you within two business days on available space and issue an invoice and directions for payment at that time.
