Science Saturdays

INFINITY Family Classes are designed for families with children ages 6-15 to explore different topics in science together. The cost for the classes includes admission to the science center and the 2-hour class for the registered participants. Adults  (18+) are $10, and children (6-15) are $20. Class sizes are limited to 25 (including adults). Children taking the classes must be accompanied by an adult. Full payment for the class is required at the time of registration. Registration is nonrefundable. Science Saturday classes meet in our education wing from 10:00 - 12:00.

Fossils (November 2, 2019)

How do we know about organisms that are no longer living?  We examine what they have left behind.  Explore the fascinating past through actual fossils, and then make your own!

Pollinators (December 7, 2019)

Why are plants and pollinators essential for life? Did you know that honeybees, flies, bumblebees, butterflies, moths, bats, and hummingbirds all pollinate different plants? We will discover different pollinators and how they help plants to reproduce! We will also have a special guest with us, Shawn LaGasse, from LaGasse Apiaries with his indoor beehive!

Forensics (January 4, 2020)

How do detectives solve crimes?  In this session, we'll take a look into how detectives use clues, science, and deductive reasoning to solve a mystery.

Everyone is wild about wildlife rescue! Come join us and our special speaker/guest, Whisper of Hope Wildlife Rescue. We will explore wildlife rescue, and you will get to meet some incredible rescue animals.

Amazing Aquaponics and Hydroponics (April 4, 2020)

Aquaponic and hydroponic farming are incredibly important topics for everyone. Hydroponics uses water systems to grow plants while aquaponic systems couple aquatic animals (usually fish) with plants to establish a sustainable and productive agricultural system. We will explore both and create a homemade tabletop hydroponic system for you to take home!

Private Classes

Want to schedule your own private class? Request your own Science Saturday! Classes available for booking include: Rocketry and Guided Dissection.

Must have 20 participants to book. Available Saturdays from October 13 - December 22.  Adults  (18+) are $10, and children (6-15) are $20. Class sizes are limited to 25 (including adults).
