This event coincides with our month-long March initiative, "March of the Birds," where we celebrate nature's beauty and learn about all things birds, birding, and bird watching focusing on coastal indigenous and migratory songbirds using citizen science.

What can an owl pellet reveal about an owl’s diet? Owl pellets can tell us a lot about the health of an ecosystem and the species within it. This lab will explore the behavior of owls and what their pellets can tell us about their diet and the health of the ecosystem. You will be using a dichotomous key to identify the owl’s prey by the bones you find in the owl pellet. Great overview to the importance of predators within an ecosystem and food web! Cost of lab $3 NON -REFUNDABLE. Does not include $9 admission fee for Homeschool Monday. This class is for ages 12 and up.
