2016-2017 Homeschool Monday Schedule

INFINITY's monthly Homeschool Monday returns this September with fun and fascinating themes and activities to engage homeschoolers in hands-on STEM-related learning. Check out our schedule below. Activities are geared for homeschoolers ages 12 and under, but of course everyone is welcome! Homeschool Monday activities will be held on the third Monday of every month September through November and January through March from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Let us know you are coming by clicking  on the registration links below; admission to Homeschool Monday is included with museum admission. Groups of 20 or more are eligible for INFINITY's group rate of $6/per person. All payments are due upon arrival. By attending this event you consent to INFINITY Science Center's photography policy

September 19, 2016- What’s Up Earth? Exploring Air, Soil and Water

Our first Homeschool Monday of the 2016-17 Homeschool program will be dedicated to our Earth.  Homeschoolers will participate in hands on activities exploring the components that make Earth our home air, soil and water.

October 17, 2016- Anchors Away- Exploring Naval STEM

Explore how the Navy uses STEM from catapults to switches and everything in between. Homeschoolers will build, experience and explore various activities in science, technology, engineering and math that are incorporated into the daily missions of the Navy.

November 21, 2016- Blast Off to the Final Frontier- Exploring Space

November’s Homeschool Monday will focus on exploring our Solar System, planets to stars. Homeschoolers will participate in activities that will have them Blasting Off through the INFINITY Science Center exploring our Solar Systems and beyond.

January 16, 2017- Let’s Build It Better- Engineering 101

This month Homeschool Monday will focus on fundamentals of engineering. Homeschoolers will participate in various hands-on activities that will introduce them to the components of the Engineering Design Process: Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve and Ask -again, keeping the process going.

February 20, 2017- Shocking Isn’t It? Exploring Electricity

In February check out the exciting world of electricity with a range of fun activities. Homeschoolers will learn about circuits, conductors and all kinds of interesting electricity topics.

March 20, 2017- INFINITY Science Center Homeschool Science Fair

We are excited to announce our First Annual Homeschool Science Fair. Join your homeschool peers as they present their science fair projects. Projects will be on display at 9:00 and participants will be sharing what they have learned through the scientific process.

Recognition and special presentation is scheduled for 11:30.
