Join us for another morning of hands-on STEM learning at INFINITY Science Center!
Discover how wind and weather shape our atmosphere and the world around us.
Special Guest Presenter: Ryan Mahan, Chief Meteorologist at WXXV
- Time: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Admission: $10 per person ( 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. only)
- Ages: Open to all school-age children
Tickets can be purchased at the front desk on the day of the event. However, lab participation requires advance online registration.
Lab: Engineer a Weather Station
In this lab, students will explore the engineering design process by creating their own weather tools, including:
- Anemometer to measure wind speed
- Barometer to track air pressure
- Wind vane to show wind direction
Using simple materials, participants will design and build their own weather stations to take home and use for recording observations.
- Lab Time: 10:00 a.m.
- Cost: $7.00 non-refundable supply and lab fee (in addition to admission)
- Ages: 12–17 only
- Capacity: Limited to 20 students
