Special Lab: Rubik’s Cube Math (Agest 12-18 only)

Did you know that no matter how a Rubik’s cube is arranged, it can be solved in 20 moves or fewer? This fact will pique your student’s interest and curiosity! In this interactive lab we will use the Rubik’s cube to discuss math concepts (Pythagorean theorem, geometry concepts, factorials, and mosaics) and learn to solve the Rubik’s cube! This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn math concepts while working with and fidgeting with a Rubik’s cube. Students will take home a Rubik’s cube and packet to continue their learning. The cost for this class is $3 per student and must be paid online in advance.  This class is for ages 12 and up and is open to 30 participants. The class will run from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM as a part of Mathematics Home School Monday. Click here to register for the special lab.
